The APCOT Diploma of Training and Assessment Workshop Program Content

The APCOT Public program is covered over 4 modules of collaborative workshops and independent Project based learning over 4 to 16 weeks depending on the option you choose.

It covers the 5 required core units of competency with another 6 pre-selected electives. The 7th required elective can be taken from your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Quallification.

(The 12 core units from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a pre-requisite for the Diploma in TAA)

Collaborate with your facilitator and peers during workshops, while you design and implement your real life projects in your own time.

Our 2010 Program Options

Our INTENSIVE program option covers all workshops within a two week period. You then receive a further 6 months to develop your Project based learning. You will still have contact with your APCOT facilitator through phone and email contact. email contact and other workshop participants through our online forum.

Our EXTENDED program option covers each module once a month over a four month period. Meet up with other workshop participants once a month and work on your individual Projects in between! You then receive a further 2 months after your last workshop to finalise your work. You will still have contact with your APCOT facilitator through phone and email contact and other workshop participants through our online forum.

Our SELF PACED E-LEARNING option allows you to work at your own pace without having to attend any workshops! Choose to work through our 4 modular program with the pre-selected electives or choose your own program content by selecting your own electives!

Use advanced facilitation techniques and the action learning approach to improve learning and work performance.

Core: Provide advanced facilitation to support learning

Elective: Facilitate action learning projects

Blended learning approach: 2 day collaborative workshop with self paced independent research and practical exercises to be completed in your own time. Approximately 80 hrs.

Drive continuous improvement processes through leading innovative team work practices

Core: Maintain and enhance your professional practive

Elective: Lead your team to foster innovation

Elective: Facilitate group processes

Blended learning approach: 2 day workshop with self paced independent researchand practical exercises to be completed in your own time. Approximately 95 hrs.

Energise the Learning Function with Engaging E-Learning

Elective: Research & design e-learning resources

Elective: Develop & evaluate e-learning resources (working with ADOBE Acrobat Professional 9)

Elective: Facilitate e-learning

Blended learning approach: 2 day computer based workshop with self paced independent research and practical exercises to be completed in your own time. Approximately 95 hrs.

Manage the learning, training and assessment functions

Core: Design and develop learning strategies

Core: Lead and coordinate assessment systems and services

Core: Lead and conduct training and/or assessment evaluations

Blended learning approach: 2 day workshop with self paced independent researchand practical exercises to be completed in your own time. Approximately 80 hrs.
